During his high school playing career, he played in three Group 2 State Sectional Championships, winning twice. Coach Milich is the first and only Head Coach of the Montgomery High School Football team. He started the football program in 2000 and created the Cougar Football Club (booster club) in 2001. He led the Cougars to their first and second State playoff appearances in 2007 and 2009. He has been a member of the state football coaches association since 1992. Coach Milich was active during the initial fund raising for the $1.2 million Cougar Stadium and remains active in the effort to pay off the field debt.
